Des is enjoying a good run of form of late with yet another match win to add to his growing collection. The Dorking ace managed 26 carp for 171lb 9oz fishing a straight lead with a PVA Bag of pellets at Tanners over the weekend to qualify for the Match This final. Des takes up the story:
"You can't use a Method feeder at Tanners so I opted for PVA bags of 6mm pellets instead. I fished a shallow area off the far margin at 45 metres with a prototype Preston bomb, 0.17mm Reflo Power Line hooklinks and PR36 hooks.
"I was steadily catching carp all day and even ran out of PVA towards the end of the match," he adds. "It was a great result and has put me in with a chance of winning £100k in the final. Bring it on!"
