Tommy Pickering

Don't Move the FEEDER!

Tommy Pickering was crowned Individual World Champion in 1989 making him one of the most famous names in recent match fishing history.

"For me the best thing about being a Preston consultant is we are always working on new products or looking to improve existing ones. This means I am always on the bank, trying out new gear!"

Over the years, Tommy admits that he's tried most methods and has a few different techniques that he can turn his hand to as and when required.

My two favourite two pieces of Preston Innovations fishing tackle are the 10ft Mini F1 rod, and the 12ft 8 inch Dutch Master rod.

Recently, Tommy starred in Absolute Match Fishing – the Sky Sports TV series also available on DVD. In the series he presented all the episodes and was featured as an angler too.

The People's Champion, Tommy is one of the most popular anglers on the match fishing scene, he's approachable, knowledgable and all in all a genuinely nice guy.

As one of the most established match anglers, Tommy often features in the Winning Pegs series of DVD's by Preston Innovations.

"I love competing and only fish to win so I always fish positivey"

Tommy is famous for his catch phrase "Don't Move the Feeder!"

In 2011, Tommy became Feeder Team Manager, where he lead the team in the first ever World Feeder Championships on the River Tevere in Perugia, Italy. He is still the team manager.
